|Recommended: YesGreat place to live — This is the first apartment I have ever rented, and as far as I can tell it is nice.
|Recommended: YesLoved the building itself — The apartment itself is amazing and worth the cost. If you can figure out the living room set up as we did, it can be a super social environment. Bedrooms, bathrooms and space in general was all phenomenal. That being said, maintenance has just been awful for us the whole year. We had a leak from a ceiling in one of the rooms from the A C every time it ran... and called maintenance probably 20 times over the course of the year, they simply would not fix it so we had to go without A C. Thought they would care more about that issue, given that we were very communicative for the last 7 months with the issue.

|Recommended: YesArrival to the Apartment — If someone would to ask I would tell them that the location is great and the space is just right with everything you would need in the living space, but certainly nothing more. I would definitely say that it is a little over pieced considering that there is basically no amenities that come with it. If you wanted to have a car they do not have a spot for you to rent. Upon arrival to the apartment is was super dirty and looked like it hadn't been touch since the last tenants moved out. The shower had not been cleaned and neither had the floors. I vacuumed the carpet in my room the day I moved in and it was filthy and looked like it hadn't been touched in years. When I got to the apartment the fire exit lock was broke, the dish washer was broke, the laundry wash wouldn't wash on the cold water setting, and the towel bar in the bathroom was broke. I was very unimpressed when I moved in. Have lived here now for 2 months, I really enjoy the location and it is general pretty quiet except for a lot of construction in the last couple of months.
|Recommended: YesClean, well furnished, home-y, maintenance staff are wonderful, well-priced — It's very home-y here and I feel like the help services from staff are prompt and caring. It's clean and a great location for students.
|Recommended: YesI really like the style of the apartment and it has been a very cozy home. — I would tell them that it is a pretty great place to live but that things break around the apartment more than frequently and takes a lot to get maintenance to come, but when they do show up they are really nice and they do a great job fixing everything.
|Recommended: YesGreat location, Cool Unit, -Thin Walls — I loved the located and the layout of the unit. Very nice spot at a reasonable price. It was located right next to a parking lot, which was helpful for moving in and out although you can't park there overnight. The biggest downside was the paper-thin walls. Our neighbors to both sides were horribly loud and it made sleeping quite difficult. We talked to them a few times but they never truly stopped being terrible neighbors. Not really Steve Brown's fault, as the unit was great. Just hope for better neighbors in the future.
|Recommended: NoModerate Experience — Very noisy between neighbors, people on the streets, and the floors always squeaking. Maintenance staff is ok. Very friendly, but they take a long time to complete orders.
|Recommended: YesWould recommend — Enjoy living here. Some minor things like drafty windows and carpet stains but overall good experience.

|Recommended: NoEverything breaks, staff is incompetent — I would tell them to not live here. Although it is a big apartment, the staff and all of the issues that we have run into ranging from them demanding payments from us which were incorrect to them consistently ignoring our calls for maintenance ruins anything that is good about this property. I would tell them to go to any other leasing company and to try to avoid steve brown properties as a whole, since they treat their tenants so terribly.
